The DELE C1 exam consists of 4 tests organized into 2 groups. You need a minimum of 30/50 in each group to pass. Total duration: approximately 4 hours.

Tasks: 5 tasks with a total of 40 items
Complex texts from public, professional, and academic domains. Includes literary texts, opinion articles, essays, and specialized texts. You must demonstrate inference ability, identification of textual structure, and understanding of nuances.
Duration: 50 minutes
Tasks: 5 tasks with a total of 30 items
Audio from lectures, interviews, debates, and formal and informal conversations. Natural speed with a variety of accents from the Spanish-speaking world. You must capture specific information, attitudes, and intentions.
Duration: 80 minutes
Tasks: 2 tasks
Task 1: Listen to audio (lecture or presentation) and write a formal text (letter, report, article) integrating the information heard.
Task 2: Based on a written text, write another text (formal letter, opinion article, blog post) with a specific register and format.
Duration: 20 min preparation + 20 min exam
Tasks: 3 tasks
Task 1: Sustained monologue based on a text and a graph/image. Present, describe, and evaluate.
Task 2: Conversation with the interviewer about the topic from task 1. Debate, argue, and negotiate.
Task 3: Negotiation based on a proposed situation. Propose solutions, weigh pros and cons.
Maximum score: 100 points (50 per group)
Minimum to pass: 30 points in each group (60 points total)
If you score less than 30 in one group, you fail the entire exam even if the other group has a high score. The diploma is issued by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of Spain's Ministry of Education and is valid indefinitely.
